Hamilton Recreation Center Offers Indoor Pool, Basketball and Pickleball in the Western Addition

WESTERN ADDITION, San Francisco — Families and residents can use Hamilton Recreation Center on Geary Boulevard for indoor sports and fitness activities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool, basketball and pickleball.

San Francisco Recreation and Parks lists the facility at 1900 Geary Boulevard with an accessible children’s play area, a fitness room, outdoor equipment, athletic fields, and reservable facilities. The department’s posted building hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with regular closure on Sunday and Monday.

The presence of a pool or sport court does not mean every activity is free, open for unscheduled use or available during all building hours. Lessons, open gym and reservations have their own time slots and eligibility rules. Pool operations may also change for maintenance or staffing.

What residents should know

Residents should check the Recreation and Parks registration calendar and ask facility staff about available sessions, accessibility and fees. The department lists a facility contact number of 415-831-6346.
